 We started a countdown of days until we leave Akehama for new life in Hayakawa. Nowadays, I'm busy getting ready to move, mainly trying to minimize our items to carry. Looking around our house, I'm amazed the amount of "things" that we have owned, both necessary and unnecessary..! I tend to stock up on old things such as clothes, kitchen items, handicrafts etc...expecting future use of them, however I often forget what exactly I have kept...oops! So now, it's a great opportunity to understand what exactly we need. As I started, our house got neater and cleaner, and more space appears day by day. I learn many things by doing this, too. One is that less items means less information from the eyes to the brain, so I feel more calm and organized. I came to know that I'm constantly receiving lots of information (including unnecessary ones) unconsciously from the eyes. Then, I finally came to understand that releasing things, instead of possessing, actually makes me feel so good! However, I still try to find some who may want to use those items that I decided not to take with us, so if I can think of someone who may be happy with specific ones, I call them up and offer. It's actually fun doing this "matching" because some love unusual items which are not attractive for most people, like....a Mochi (rice cake) cutting machine, an old van, a huge clay pot, an old electric organ, Korean ginseng and so on.... One sunny Sunday, I put up many other things on our wooden porch for anyone to take freely. It seemed great fun, so the kids also started setting up their own knick knacks here and there for ...sale!? Well, now our little garden is full of so many things! Anyway, feel free for dropping by for a cup of coffee and pick up whatever you like! Wakana 縁側セール 明浜町での暮らしも、早川町に向かってカウントダウン。 日々、引っ越しのためのモノの整理に明け暮れています。 明浜に来て８年間の間、ずっと家に潜んでいたもの、新しく増えたもの、毎日手にしているものなど、実にたくさんのものに囲まれて暮らしてきたことを、今改めて実感しています。 可能な限り引っ越し荷物を減らすべし、というミッションを持って臨むと、元来苦手な「断捨離」も実行せざるをえません・・・！ところがどうでしょう。毎日狙った箇所にあるものたちと一つひとつ向き合ってみると、以外にも要不要の判断がついてしまうもの。そして気づくこともたくさんありました。一つは、目から入ってくる情報は案外多かったんだなということ。雑多な我が家から徐々にものが減っていくと、なんだか頭の中もすっきりするようです。 それから、執着しないというのはとても気持ちがいいものだということにも、ようやく気がついてきました。お金をかけてまで持っていくものではない、これまでそんなに頻度多く出番がなかった・・というものは、持っていかないことにしました。 それでも、まだ使えたり、「あの人なら面白がりそうだな」と引き取り手候補の顔が浮かぶものに関しては、随時引き渡して回っています。次の使い手を探すのは、これまでうちにいてくれたものたちへのせめてもの恩返し？（いや、処分する自分への後ろめたさからかもしれません・・・！まだまだ執着を断ち切れてないなぁ。）すぐに顔が浮かぶもの、は一般の人にとっては「まさか！笑」というものが多いです。例えば、「餅切り器」。多分、私が餅を捏ねる器械だと勘違いして、昔近所のおばあちゃんにもらったものですが、近所の天理教のお祭りごとのときに使ってもらえることに。それから走行距離が相当いってるサンバーバン。ちょうどあと一年車検が残っていたのですが、貰い手がいなければ廃車にするところでした。重くてでっかい金魚でも入れる壺。古ーい電気オルガン。昔、韓国から送られてきた高麗人参１０本入り高級セット。こちらは、在日韓国２世の友人が活用してくれるとのこと。時間の許す限り、マッチング作業を楽しんでいます。 ひとまず、引き取り手がいればなぁ、というものたちを縁側に並べて行っています。すると、子どもたちも自分のガラクタを並べて其処此処に自分の出店をオープン。全く持って何が何だか分かりません・・・が、思い出の「かんまん部屋」にお茶がてら、いつでも寄ってくださいね。 （わ）
