 The theme of this month's Mimaki Marche in Fukuda-hyakkaten was "Eco-friendly farming" such as Natural Farming, organic farming etc..And we set up our booth as Nancha, too! We had put our booth last time along with Amanatsu and "Motto Kolkata". And this time, we literally took every item that we could sell. Along with Nancha shop items like various jams, syrups, Japanese plum products, Hijiki etc.., I thought of trying to sell "Indian hand made items", that I had purchased from Kanika before, including recycled sari blankets, grass mats, and handmade notebooks. I also added some postcards with Yuki's drawing and Japanese and English version of "Motto Kolkata" too. As I love to see and buy various small items, many people, mostly women, stopped at our booth and picked up our items. It was interesting that we sold much more than we expected, and people showed their interests on various products. What was great about participating in this kind of event is that we could meet one or two, if we were lucky, very interesting people. Yes, this day, we were so lucky that we made many friends there, both people who visited the Marche, and also other people who set up their booths with their own products. Many of them came from Shimanto, Kochi prefecture which I've been wishing to visit one day! It was such a good experience not only to make friends, but also to understand how people think and enjoy our products. And kids seemed to enjoy staying there. Although we stayed there whole day, Umeo and Sukla had been very happy playing with others kids, eating nice healthy foods, and helping us at the booth sometimes. Let our antenna be "ON!" so that it may catch another interesting encounter maybe in an unexpected way! Wakana  みまきマルシェ～「なんち屋」出店編 御薪の福田百貨店にて、数か月に一度開催される「みまきマルシェ」。今月のテーマは「自然農」ということでした。自然栽培、有機栽培、減農薬などを実践している農家さんも出店しています。というわけで、「なんち屋」も声をかけてもらって、出店です。 以前に出展した時は、甘夏と『もっとコルカタ』の展示でした。さて今回は、「なんちやショップ」にあるあらゆるものをひとまず全部持っていっての参加。各種ジャムやシロップ、梅加工品、ゼンさんのひじきなどなど。それらに加えて、そうだ、インドアイテムも持って行ってみようと思いたち、コルカタの友人カニカから買っている、リサイクルサリーのKathaブランケットや手製本ノートなども持って行きました。それから、完全に私の趣味ですが、（ゆ）のイラストをポストカードに印刷したものや『もっとコルカタ』（日／英）も忘れずに。 細々並んだものを、じーっと眺めたり手に取ったりして買い物をするのが好きな私は、この日も小瓶や小物をズラーッと並べてみます。入口近かったことあって、多くのお客さんが立ち止まって、おしゃべりをしながらみていってくれました。並べたシロップの瓶も、光にあたって結構きれい。多くは女性でしたが、予想していたよりもずっとたくさん、それもまんべんなく売れました。こういった催し物に参加する最大の楽しみは、友だちが増えること。運がよければ、一人か二人は、ぐっとくる素敵な人に会えるものです。この日も、とても嬉しいことに、お客さんの中にも、出店者の中にも、今後も気持ちよくお付き合いできそうな人たちに出会えました。今回の出店者の何人かは、私が行きたいと思っている四万十から来ていたこともあって、これまたわくわくを掻きたてます。 この度の出店は、友人を作るだけでなく、お客さんが我が家の品物にどんな反応を見せてくれるのかを感じるにも、よい機会となりました。一日中いたにも関わらず、子どもたちも楽しそうで何より。他の出店者の子どもたちと遊び回ったり、そこここで売っている健康おやつを食べ回ったり、気が向いたら販売を手伝ってくれたりしていました。 こんな風に、私たちのアンテナを「オン！」にしておきたい、と思います。次につながる、思いもよらない出会いをつかまえてくれるかもしれないから。 （わ）
