 The day has come: our local cultural festival at the community center. We, as a Golpo-kko, set up a booth to sell Pizza, pumpkin soup and various cookies. We had been preparing a lot for the day! We had held meetings several times to discuss about pizza toppings, prices, things to prepare in advance and so on. We did trial cooking many times, and after all this, we decided to cook with our Dutch oven at the community center's kitchen. Pizza was our regular party menu, but selling it in public was something different. We had to consider various things carefully such as the quality of pizza dough and toppings, the amount to prepare, how to keep them warm, some for taking-out and some for eating on site etc...everything was totally a new experience for all of us. We took this year as a "trial", hoping to learn something for following years. Seven of us, plus our kids, had a role in preparation and also for the day itself; actually our teamwork was not bad! Golpo-kko is now more than just an English circle, but a group of parents whose switches are "ON!" to do something active and encouraging themselves, and hopefully the community, too. Indeed, it seemed like our pizza booth gave a huge kick to the local people. All of us were "outsiders" and mothers (plus Yuki). We sold all the pizza we prepared. Later days, many neighbors told me that they were so happy to see us giving an impact to the local event. This was the biggest reward! Still, we are proud of the profit that we made on that day, too. What shall we plan with it? We could just have a party, or purchase something for the next year... Otherwise, we would like to use it for something that we can learn from, like visiting some place or inviting someone...? We still need to think. On that day, though there were a lot of food booths at the event site, all of us were starving by the time we cleaned our booth. We were so busy cooking and selling...! So when we had a lunch party at J-chan's house, vegetable rice and Mochi that she prepared, helped us a lot. (Thanks, J-chan!) By the time we left her house, we were totally full and fulfilled. Hope this experience will be repeated in much better way next year! Wakana  チームごるぽっこ ついにこの日がやってきました。地元の公民館で実施される、産業文化祭の日です。私たちは、「ごるぽっこ」として出店し、ピザとかぼちゃポタージュ、それにクッキーやケーキなどを並べました。実はこの日のために、色々と準備してきていたのでした。 何度も集まっては、ピザの具材や価格、用意するものなどを相談してきました。試作も何度も行い、結局、ダッチオーブンを公民館の台所に持ち込んで作ることに決めました。ピザは今や私たちの定番のパーティーメニューですが、外で売るとなるとまた違ってきます。様々なことを気を付けて考えねばなりませんでした。ピザ生地や具材の質や味がこれでいいのか、どれくらい作るべきなのか、保温はどうしよう、お持帰り用とその場で食べる用はどう分けよう、等々。全てが初めてのこと尽くしでした。 今年は出店初年度なので、今後につながる何かが学べればいいよね、と皆で話していました。7人の私たち大人と各自の子どもたちは、準備段階でも当日も、それぞれの役目を担って動きました。結構チームワークも、悪くなかったりして。 「ごるぽっこ」は英語サークルの域を超えています。何か自分たちが元気になれること、また願わくば地域を元気に出来ることに関してスイッチが「オン！」である親たちの集まりです。実際、私たちのピザブースは、地元の人たちには刺激的だったようです。何と言っても、やっている私たちは皆「よそ者」であり子連れ。そして、ピザは完売。後日、近所で会う人に何人も声を掛けられ、私たちの出店を喜んでくれました。その反応が、何よりのご褒美です。 とはいえ、この日の儲けも嬉しいもの。さて、このお金で何をしましょうか。単にパーティーするのもよし、何か来年のために機材を買うもよし。ですが、何か学びになるものに使えないかしら。どこかに行くとか、誰かを呼ぶとか・・・？考えねばなりません。 実はこの日、あれだけ他に食べ物のブースがあったにも関わらず、掃除が終わった時には私たち全員が腹ペコ。調理と販売で大忙しで、食べる暇がなかったのでした。なので、メンバーのJちゃん宅での打上げ昼食で、Jちゃんが用意してくれたおこわとお餅の有り難かったこと。（感謝！）というわけで、それぞれが帰路に着くころには、お腹もいっぱい、気持ちも何だか充実。さぁ、いざ来年に続けよ、この経験。 （わ
