 Yuki was sketching me bearing with labor pain in the delivery room. He was wearing Mr. F's straw hat, who is now hospitalized in Matsuyama. It was mid-September when an ambulance came to take Mr. F, our master carpenter of "Kanman-beya project". That day, he came back home after work but went his room straightly saying he was feeling sick and wanted to lie down for a while. Soon later, he felt really sick and told us to call an ambulance. According to the doctor, it was rupture of aorta and a complicated emergency surgery was required. The overnight surgery was successful, and he was admitted in ICU. When we were in the delivery room on 22nd of Sep, he was still under anesthesia. Yuki took his hat making a wish that both Mr. F and our baby would reach this side and open their eyes. We heard baby crying, and in a few days, we got to know that Mr. F woke up and his condition was pretty good. Now he can even talk and said "When I'm discharged, I want to be back to the project. If there is no more work at the project site, then I want to help Yuki harvesting citrus fruits." We all were so happy to hear that, and laughed saying "Come on, that's being hasty! Concentrate on recovering first..! :))" We are waiting for him to be back. Wakana 願掛け麦わら帽 分娩室で陣痛に耐えている私を、（ゆ）はスケッチ。しかも麦わら帽子をかぶって。実はこの帽子、今や松山の病院に入院しているF棟梁のものなのです。 「かんまん部屋プロジェクト」のF棟梁が救急車で運ばれたのは9月半ばのことでした。その日の仕事から戻ってきた棟梁は、ちょっと気分が悪いから休むと言って、まっすぐ自分の部屋に行きました。すぐに容体は悪化し、自ら救急車を呼んでほしいと言ってきたのです。 医者によれば、なんと大動脈が破裂しており、複雑な緊急手術が必要とのことでした。夜通しの手術は無事終わり、9月22日に私たちが分娩室にいた時には、まだ麻酔で眠ったままICUに。（ゆ）が願掛けに麦わら帽子を分娩室に持ち込んだのはそんなわけで、棟梁も赤ん坊も共にこちらにたどり着いて目を開けるようにとの願いを込めていました。 赤ん坊の鳴き声を聞いた数日後には、棟梁が目を覚まし、容体も良いという知らせを受けました。今では、話も出来るほどで、「退院したら『かんまん部屋プロジェクト』に戻りたい。もしもう仕事がなければ、ゆうきのみかん収穫を手伝わせてほしい」なんて言っています。 それを聞いて喜ぶと同時に、「気が早いなぁ！まずは完治してくださいよ！」と一同大笑い。 そんな彼の帰りを、皆で待っているのです。 （わ） |
