明浜町狩浜地区の本浦集落の川筋、家屋の集まる範囲の端を少し上ったあたりに祠が造られています。「客人神社」「お客様」と呼ぶ人が多い気がします。
この集落には他所の人を迎え入れ、もてなすような気質というか、文化のようなものがあります。それが際立つのは秋祭りのときで、各家が御神燈を軒先につるし、ご馳走を用意しています。そういった家には誰もが出入りすることができ、ご馳走にありつけるというわけですが、この客人神社はそのルーツのひとつを表しているようで、興味深いところです。 そしてこの祠には、橘本神社より分祀した橘祖田道間守公を合祀しています。毎年4月3日を恒例として春の祭典をとりおこない、みかんの神様に昨年の収穫を感謝し、未来の豊作を祈ります。  そして4月3日は旧暦の節句に近い日付として、この地区ではひなまつりもこの日におこなうのですが、これに合わせて近所の人と連れ合って、花見にでかける風習が古くからあったようです。 そんな融通の利く仕事は現在では農家しかないので、出かける人は少なくなりましたが、この春の祭典の直会に便乗して、無茶々園の明浜事務所のあるお伊勢山のふもとで花見をするのも、毎年の恒例になっています。 無礼講の酒宴です。いつもは恐縮気味のフィリピンからの農業研修・実習生たちもおおはしゃぎ。ゆくゆくは高齢者への宅配膳を目的にはじまったカアチャングループ「天歩屋」の美味い料理とともに、今年は散るのが早かった桜のなごりを楽しみます。午前中から飲み始めているので夕方までにはベロンベロン。二次会はマサヤンハウスへ。そのあたりからはよく覚えていません。 あー、飲んだ飲んだ。 （ゆ） Spring Prayer Going uphill a bit right outside a village, you can find a small shrine. It's beside a small river in Honura village, Karie area, Akehama. People call it "Kyakujin-jinjya (the shrine for guests)" or "Okyakusama(dear guests)". This village has an atmosphere, or "culture" I would say, welcoming outsiders. The autumn festival here is a good example of it; each house prepares good meals and hangs a special lantern in front of entrance meaning "we are ready to welcome guests". So anyone can step into those houses and enjoy dishes. I like the shrine because it seems like representing one of the roots of such culture. People welcomed the god of citrus fruit, Tajimanomori, who brought citrus fruits to Japan first, from Kitumoto-shrine to this small shrine in past days. Every year, they organize a spring prayer at April 3rd, appreciate the god of citrus fruits and pray for a rich harvest. People here celebrate Girl's Day Festival at April 3rd based on old calendar and also enjoy cherry viewing picnics with neighbors. These days, only farmers can be flexible about their working hours, so less people join those events. Still, Muchachaen's cherry viewing picnic in front of its office in Oiseyama has been a regular event. This picnic party is regardless of rank or seniority, so Filipino and Japanese trainees who are usually shy in front of seniors also get relaxed and enjoy a lot. We enjoyed cherry blossoms that were about to finish with plenty of good foods prepared by Tenpo-ya, a small group of mothers which is aiming to realize catering service for the elderly in future. We started drinking before lunch through the evening changing the place from Oiseyama to Masayang House. Well, I hardly remember how the later part was because of too much of Sake.
