 It was such a special day for Umeo because her favorite friend, 7-year-old N-chan came to stay overnight. She lives in Uwa, a 25 minute drive from where we live. We met her at Tanekko as her brother is a regular Tanekko member. Energetic Umeo and gentle and a bit shy N-chan get along very well; they are well balanced, maybe? The other day, we had visited N-chan's home and joined in their dinner and bathing. So, this time N-chan wished to stay over night with Umeo over here. This is how Umeo's exciting day came true. They had been playing make-believe using various kinds of things, and Sukla also took part. It was such an easy day for me too, with those happy kids. When I was a kid, I haven't had such experience of sleepover at my friends' homes before becoming a teenager, but I imagine what fun it is to do this even at Umeo's age. Sharing meals, bathing time, and blankets seem to create some special and happy feeling. We can do this, maybe inside our huge mosquito net sometime during summer next time. Wakana お泊り会 （う）の楽しみにしていた日がやってきました。大好きな7歳のお友だちのNちゃんが、お泊りにやってくるというのです。 Nちゃんは、ここから車で25分ほどの宇和というところに住んでいます。Nちゃんの弟が「たねっこ」メンバーなので、折々に顔を合わせるようになりお友だちになりました。エネルギッシュな（う）と、優しくてちょっと恥ずかしがり屋のNちゃんは、どういうわけか気がよく合うようです。いいバランスなのかな。 ちょっと前に、私たちがNちゃんのおうちにお邪魔して、夕ご飯とお風呂まで一緒に入れてもらったことがありました。今度は、Nちゃんが（う）宅にお泊りに行ってみたいというわけで、この日がやっていたのでした。飽きずに永遠とごっこ遊びに没頭する彼女たち。（す）も役をもらったようです。ご機嫌な3人の子どもたちなので、私としても何とも穏やかな日を過ごしました。 私が子どもの頃を思うと、10代になるまでお友だちの家にお泊りなどはしたことがなかったように思います。けれど、（う）の年でもさぞかし楽しいだろうなぁ。ご飯、お風呂、毛布を共にして、何とも特別な嬉しい気持ちになるのが分かります。次は、きっとうちの大きな蚊帳の中でのお泊り会が楽しいでしょう。もうちょっと夏が本格的になってからですね。 （わ）
