 We were invited to the Vietnamese Lunch party at H-chan's house today. She said that six Vietnamese girls would come from Uwajima with various Vietnamese foods! H-chan from Vietnam got married to one of our neighbors last year, and now they have baby boy. Vietnamese agricultural trainees in this area often get together at her house, not only because she has been missing her country, but also she loves getting together. Today, we were told that the lunch would start at 11:30, but those six girls missed their bus from Uwajima, which is almost a one hour drive. Finally cheerful and cute girls reached, then started preparing wonderful Vietnamese dishes! One after another, dynamic Vietnamese foods appeared on the table. Then at last, a huge birthday cake appeared for one of those girls. We were totally full when we went home around 2pm, but I heard that the girls stayed until late night! I could feel how comfortable H-chan's house is to them, and it must be one where precious relaxation is possible. Enjoying the sound of Vietnamese language, I was thinking about H-chan. It must have been a big decision for her to come and live in Japan, but I'm proud of her for being a platform for her friends and us. Wakana  ベトナムランチ 本日は、Hちゃんに招かれてHちゃん宅でのベトナムランチパーティーにお邪魔してきました。何でも、もう6名のベトナムの女の子たちが、宇和島からベトナム料理携えて集まってくるんですって。行かないわけにはいかないです。 Hちゃんは、去年、ベトナムからお嫁に来て、私たちのご近所さんとなりました。今ではかわいい男の子がいます。ベトナムのことを想う気持ちが強いのはもちろんですが、持ち前の明るさもあって、ここらのベトナム人農業研修生たちは、よく彼女のうちで集ってわいわいしています。 今日は、11時半に始めるからと言われていたので行ってみました。すると、なんと6人の女の子たちは、宇和島からのバスを逃したので、あと1時間は遅れるとのこと。彼女たちが到着すると、昼食の準備がわいわい始まって、次から次へと迫力あるベトナム料理が大皿でどんどん並びます。最後には、6人のうちの一人のための誕生日ケーキがどーんと出て大盛り上がり。お腹いっぱい食べさせてもらって、私たちが帰ったのは2時ごろでしたが、彼女たちは夜遅くまでいたとのこと。どれだけ、Hちゃんの所が居心地いい場所なのかが分かります。忙しく働く日々にあって、貴重なくつろげる時間なのかなと察します。飛び交うベトナム語の音を楽しみながら、Hちゃんのことを思っていました。結婚で日本に来るのは、きっととても大きな決断だったと思うのです。でも、こんな風に、ベトナム人の友人と私たちご近所さんとを交えた場を自然と作っている彼女、素敵だなと思いました。 （わ）
