"What is that pink tree!?" Umeo shouted. As we went close, we came to know that the tree was full of beautiful cherries.
It was a little bit out of our daily walk way, but we found it by chance. When I saw cherries, I got to know that this was the tree that Ume-san was talking about. This is his tree, and he said that by now it should be the perfect time to eat. We tasted some cherries and came home.
When we thanked Ume-san afterward, he said
"Eat as much as you want. Otherwise, either birds or rain would take them all!"
So, I suggested to Ky-chan, one of our neighbors, to join us with her kids. She really liked the idea, and she brought her niece and husband, too. So, eventually we were 8, 3 adults and 5 kids, eating many many cherries one after another. Who ate most? Of course that was Ky-chan!
As Ume-san told us, it rained the next day, and took most of the left cherries. We made it in time!

さくらんぼ
「あのピンクの木は何だ！？」（う）が叫びます。近づいてみると、それは実をたくさんつけたさくらんぼの木だと分かりました。
その木は、いつもの散歩道からは少しだけ外れたところにあったのですが、この日たまたま目についたのです。さくらんぼの実を見た時、これが梅さんが言っていたやつだな、と合点がいきました。これは梅さんの木で、そろそろ食べ頃だろうと言っていたのです。私たちはいくつか味見をしてうちに戻りました。
後から梅さんにお礼に行くと、
「好きなだけ採れや。ありゃすぐに鳥が食ってしまっていけんど。雨が降れば、落ちて食べれなくなるし。」
とのこと。なので、近所のKyちゃんとその子どもたちを誘ってまた行くことにしました。Kyちゃんは大喜びで、姪っ子と旦那さまも一緒にさくらんぼ食べ放題の地へ。結局、子ども5人・大人3人のご一行でさくらんぼを食べにいくお散歩へ。皆で次々と食べておおはしゃぎ。でも一番食べたのは、もちろんKyちゃんです。
梅さんが言った通り、次の日の雨で、私たちが食べきれなかった美の多くは落ちてしまいました。何とか間に合ったようで、よかった！
