That day's Golpo-kko welcomed a family from Hakata. One of the members brought her cousin, who was visiting them from Hakata of Kyushu island, with her American husband and 5-year-old-son.
Our Golpo-kko kids were quite shy meeting the boy's daddy because he is a big American man. However, he was so friendly that they started communicating slowly with him in English. We used to play "interviewing" in English asking each others' name, age, favorite color etc...so this time it worked.
Though they are so naughty all the time, it's actually nice to give them a kind of "shock" and shake up their feelings once a while!

この日の「ごるぽっこ」には、博多から来た家族が飛び入り参加してくれました。メンバーお母さんの一人が、彼女のところに遊びに来ていた従姉妹一家を連れてきたのでした。従姉妹さんのアメリカ人の旦那さん、そして５才の息子くんも一緒です。
いつもの子どもたちは、大柄のアメリカ人であるそのお父さんを見て大緊張。けれど、彼がとって優しくフレンドリーだったおかげで、徐々に英語で意思疎通をする子も出てきました。以前、「インタビューごっこ」でよく遊び練習していた甲斐あって、名前や年、好きな色などを答えられる子もいました。やっておくものですねぇ。
いつもやんちゃばかりの子どもらですが、こうしてたまには「刺激」を与えて感性を揺さぶることがあってもいいかもしれません。
