One rainy day, Umeo got really bored and started saying that she wants to use water colors like Yuki.
I told her to do it when Sukla takes a nap, otherwise it was too obvious that Sukla would make a mess with all the color and water, which would make Umeo really mad. But she couldn't wait. Suddenly, she suggested to do it upstairs, which was indeed a good idea!
I took all the colors on a palette and told how to use them. She was so happy and spent a long time there with such concentration. Well, we knew that when she was quiet something crazy had surely happened!
Yes, this time, after drawing some, umeo started mixing all the colors with her hands, put it on her face, belly, feet and so on. It reminded me of "Holy Festival" in India. Though it took some time to clean up here and there, I could see total satisfaction on her face. Congratulations Umeo, for your debut in water color!

水彩デビュー
雨降りの日、（う）は退屈して、（ゆ）のように水彩絵の具を使いたいと言い出しました。
（す）が昼寝してからにしたら、という私の説得も聞き入れず駄々をこね始めます。けれど、（す）が絵具をぐちゃぐちゃにして、（う）が怒り狂うのが目に見えているだけに、どうしたものかと考え込みます。すると、突然（う）から画期的な提案が！中二階のスペースでやるというのです。なるほど、それは妙案です。
全ての色をパレットに出して、使い方を説明します。（う）は大喜びで、長い間黙々と何かを描いていました。といっても、彼女が静かに何かしている時と言うのは、何かやらかしている時でもあるのですが。
この度は、何枚か描いた後、全ての絵具を混ぜ込んで、手、足、顔、お腹などあらゆるところに塗りたくっています。インドの「ホーリー祭」を思わせるほど。きれいにするのに時間はかかったけれど、彼女の大満足の表情はいいものでした。（う）よ、水彩デビューおめでとう。
