Another good friend of us came to see us on a precious paid holiday.
R is my old friend form high school, and I'm so proud of having such friends who have been quite close for over 10 years. He had also visited us in Kolkata before.
Having him at home, we don't feel like we are hosting a guest anymore, rather we treat him as a cousin or a close relative. He happily helped me in cooking, driving, shopping and spending time with the kids. I think it was a good "daddy(mommy?) experience" for him!
What are the secrets for having such comfortable friends? I don't know the answer yet, but I should keep going my way with my own family and be always ready to welcome him, and other friends too, anytime.

彼はもはやお客さんという扱いではありません。従弟か親しい親戚のような感じです。彼もまた、楽しそうに家事や育児、運転に買い物といろいろ手伝ってくれました。Rにとっても、いい「お父さん（お母さん？）体験」だったかしら。
こんな心地よい付き合いができる秘訣は何だろう。今はよく分からないけれど、私は私で今の歩み方を、家族と一緒に突き進もう。そしてまたいつでも彼や他の友人たちをお迎えできるようにしておこう。
