Umeo's 84-year-old-friend, Yonchan, has made a lovely vest for her.
Yesterday, she showed it to us, through the window as always, what she had been making. And she soon finished it too!
It's such an exciting and sweet vest with various color and different types of wool. She said that she had started knitting it with wool that she already had at home, brown and dark blue, but after knitting one side of the sweater, she thought it was too low-key for a kid. Then she bought other wool: pink and light green. She finished the edges with shocking pink wool, and here is it!
Umeo loves it! It's a bit large for her now, but she would be able to enjoy it for some more years to come. We also like it a lot not only because of the "funky" design, but also for Yonchan's smile behind it.

よんちゃんチョッキ
（う）の84歳のお友達、よんちゃんが、手編みのチョッキをプレゼントしてくれました。
作り途中のチョッキをいつも通り窓越しに見せてくれたのは、つい昨日。そして今日にはもう出来上がっていたのでした。
とても愉快でかわいらしいチョッキです。いろんな色や種類の毛糸が使われています。よんちゃんいはく、最初は家にあった茶色と濃い青色の毛糸で編みだしたのだけれど、片面出来上がったところで、子どもにはちょっと地味だなと思い、ピンクと薄い緑色の毛糸をわざわざ買いにいったとか。そして、縁もショッキングピンクで仕上げてくれました。それが、こちらです。
（う）はもちろんお気に入り！今はちょっと大きいですが、何年も着れることでしょう。私たちもすっかり気に入ってしまいました。ファンキーなデザインのみならず、よんちゃんのにこにこ顔が浮かぶのが、いいのです。
