2010,10,11, Monday
 The Irori fireplace and earth floor have been made with a hammered finish during this weekend, involving many people as always. All members of Masayang House devoted their off day. We all were impressed by their stamina and patience. Mr. M came from Kochi prefacture with his wife and 5th-grade son and stayed with us for two nights. Their contribution was huge especially because this "hammering finish" needed many hands.  On the 11th, seven kids joined the work, too. We invited some of them one night before, but the rest joined when they passed by and found that something was going on. Though it was totally a new experience for them, some were actually quite talented in hammering! They joked a lot, laughed al ot, and worked very hard. Thanks a lot everyone! We are looking forward to sitting around the fire and eating together.  By this weekend, much progress has been made, too. A tower has appeared on the rooftop of the annex house, and work in basement ( there is a space under the ground where food was stocked) has been started.   Within this week, most of the work is supposed to be finished. Wakana 囲炉裏を囲もう この週末の連休中、いつも通り多くの人の協力を得て、囲炉裏と土間のたたき作業が行われました。 貴重な休日にも関わらず、マサヤンハウスがフルメンバーで来てくれて、大活躍。皆、彼らのスタミナと忍耐力に脱帽です。 高知県からはMさんが来てくれて、お連れ合いと5年生の息子さんと一緒に2泊して参加してくれました。このたたき作業には多くの人手が必要だったこともあり、本当に有り難い参加でした。 11日の祝日には、7人の子どもが大活躍。前の晩に何人かは誘っていたのですが、当日になって通りかかったついでに加わる子もいました。どの子にとっても「囲炉裏をたたく」なんて初めてのことだったでしょうに、やたらセンスのある子もいたようです。彼らは大いに笑って、大いにふざけて、大いに働いてくれました。ああ、本当にありがとう！みんなで囲炉裏を囲って食べるのが楽しみだなぁ。 この週で、目に見える成果がたくさんありました。離れの屋根の上には「塔」が現れ、地下室にも手が加わり始めました。（食料を保存するのに使われたりするスペースです。） これからの一週間が終盤。大方の作業が終わる予定になっています。 （わ）
