Being a co-leader of the local child-raising-circle, Kintaro, we had organized a workshop of emergency care for children. We wanted to have this before the beach-season starts.
We asked the local firemen to come, and they were kind enough to hold a workshop for such a small group. It was really helpful for most of the mothers, including myself, who had never attended such a workshop focusing on kids before. The firemen were happily surprised to see that young mothers were serious and asked them many questions. Yes, of course, we never know when it happens! Kintaro is usually simply for fun and relaxing, but it's sometimes good to have such serious sessions. :) Wakana 小児救急 地元の子育てサークル「金太郎」の共同代表者をしているので、今月は小児救急のワークショップを企画してみました。海遊びの季節が目前ですから。 地元の消防士さんに講師をお願いすると、小さなグループであるけれど快く引き受けてくれました。私を含めて、小児救急初体験のお母さんたちにとって、とっても役立つものとなりました。消防士さんたちも、若いお母さんたちの熱心さと積極的な質問に驚きつつも喜んでくれました。そりゃそうです、いつ起きてもおかしくないことですもの。 普段の金太郎は、お気楽に遊ぶ企画が多いのですが、たまにはこうした真面目バージョン金太郎があっても、なかなかいいみたい。 （わ）

Yes, that will be very helpful! It's quite tough managing naughty kids during the workshop though...hahaha

That's a great idea! I might organise a similar emergency skill workshop for mothers in the Island!
