 Our little Makasa has become 1 year old today! Having energetic Umeo and Sukla as her siblings, Makasa, who had seemed to be a very quiet girl, has now started having a will of her own and is getting naughtier... It was only in her 7th month when she tried turning over by herself, and actually she was trying to get up with her abdominal muscles instead of rolling onto her back, which was really a unique attempt. She took a slow start to experiment the movement of her body, but she is now catching up really fast. The progress is day by day, and now she can walk almost 10 steps. To celebrate her birthday, I prepared a small cake with Umeo. We made several thin and small pancakes and decorated with cheese, which she can also eat. We used fruit candies to give colors to the "cake" for other kids to enjoy eating. Just as we had celebrated Umeo and Sukla's birthdays, we wrapped up a piece of heavy Mochi (rice cake) and put it on her back wishing her healthy growth. Ky-chan family came to celebrate together, and they stayed and played till quite late.   Now baby Makasa is 1 year old. What is great is that whatever new progress she makes, I can share my delight with Umeo and Sukla, and of course with Yuki. And they are also happy to hear how they were in their babyhood. Wakana 万傘の誕生日 我らの小さな（ま）は、本日一歳になりました。 強烈な（う）と（す）を姉・兄に持って、これまで（ま）はとっても大人しい子なように思えていました。けれど、今や彼女だって自分の意思を持ち、いたずらもするようになってきました、よ。 7ヶ月でやっと寝返りをするようになった（ま）。しかも最初は、横にゴロンと寝返ればいいものを、あえて腹筋で起き上がろうと一所懸命試みていたのが、愉快でした。自分の身体の使い方を色々試すようなに動き出すのはのんびりだったものの、一度動き出したら、その進化のスピードの速いこと！日に日に出来ることが増え、今では10歩ほど歩くようになりました。 お誕生日を祝うべく、（う）と一緒に小さなケーキを用意しました。薄くて小さなホットケーキを何枚か作って重ね、上にチーズをトロンと乗せました。これなら（ま）も食べられるでしょう。それから、カラフルなグミを散らして、姉ちゃん兄ちゃんがお楽しみで食べられるようにしました。それから、（う）や（す）の時もやったように、健康な体を願って一升餅を担がせ、手をとって歩かせます。近所のＫｙちゃん親子も来て、一緒にやんややんや祝ってくれました。パジャマ姿で来てくれていた彼らは、寝る時間まで遊んで行って、おやすみと行って帰って行きました。  さぁ、赤ちゃんの（ま）はもう一歳。些細な進化も、（う）や（す）と一緒に喜べるから、楽しさも倍増です。そして、彼らも、自分が赤ちゃんだった時の話しを聞きたがります。 毎日たくさん楽しんでね、（ま）さん。そして、我が家に加わってくれてどうもありがとう。お誕生日、おめでとう！ （わ）    |
