One of our neighbors, H-san, hunts wild boars with his gun dog, Mai, quite often.
It was just before getting dark that he called and asked Yuki to come to help him hanging a huge wild boar that he had just hunted. He said it's very important to hung it to get fresh meat.
Next day, he called Yuki again and said "Come over and take a leg of the boar!". We thought that it would be something like a hand of pork that we usually see in Chinese foods. However, the leg Yuki brought back was.... SO HUGE! It took me a couple of hours to cut them into pieces and put in freezer.
Since then, he often gives us boar meat, and it has been a good chance for me to learn boar-cooking!

猪の足
ご近所さんのHさんは、猟犬のマイと一緒に猪狩をするおっちゃんです。
ちょうど暗くなる直前頃、Hさんから電話があり、獲ったばかりの猪を吊るしたいから（ゆ）にちょっと手伝いに来てくれ、ということでした。新鮮なお肉をとるために大切な作業なのだとか。
次の日、再び電話がなり「猪の足取りに来いや！」とHさんの声。豚足のような感じかな、なんて私たちは考えていましたが、（ゆ）が持ち帰ったものは、なんと巨大でしょう！その晩、捌いて小分けにして冷凍庫にしまうのに2時間はかかりました。
それからというもの、Hさんからしょっちゅう猪肉を頂くようになりました。猪料理をあれこれ試行錯誤する、よい機会となっています。
