I developed pyelonephritis last week for several days.
I thought it was just a cold, but when I got a high fever for two days, I decided to go to the nearby clinic with suspicion of the flu.
However, it was pyelonephritis that I never developed before. (Thanks god that it was not something goes around, at least...!)
Challenge was how to spend the day with two kids, but our dear neighbors were so helpful in this regards.
M san who has 3-year and 1-year-old daughters was kind enough to take Umeo out most of the day, and T-chan who is a mother of 2-year-old girl living next door was so helpful that she took Sukla to her house and brought him back every 3 hours for breast feeding.
Yuki could also arrange his work schedule and stayed at home; though it rained for those days anyway. T-chan's mother brought some dishes for dinner, and her aunt also spent some time with Sukla.
Thanks to everyone, I could take a rest and recovered quickly. At first, I was so nervouse because I didn't know how much I could depend on them. However their generosity was beyond my imagination and they worried about us a lot. Of course, it was my fault that I couldn't manage my health, but with this experience, I deepened my appreciation and respect towards our neighbors a lot.

ご近所さまの力
先週、腎盂腎炎にかかってしまいました。
最初はただの風邪かと思っていましたが、2日にわたって高熱が続いたので、インフルエンザだといけないと思い、近所の診療所に行ったのでした。
けれど、風邪どころかなんと腎盂腎炎と診断されてしまいました。初めてかかる病気です。（少なくとも、移る病気でなかったのは、幸いでした・・・）
大変なのは、二人の子どもと一緒に日中をどう過ごすかということでした。けれど、我らのご近所さま方がなんと心強かったことか！
3歳と1歳の娘さんのいるMさんは、日中のほとんどの間、（う）を預かって一緒に遊んでくれました。お隣さんで、2歳の娘さんのお母さんであるTちゃんは、（す）を預かってくれ、さらに3時間ごとに授乳のために連れて来てくれるということまでしてくれました。Tちゃんのお母さんはおかずを持って来てくれたし、Tちゃんの叔母のNさんも、（す）をおぶって過ごしてくれました。
皆さんのおかげで、私は休むことが出来、回復も早かったのです。初めは、皆に何をどれだけ頼れるのか分からずに不安でしたが、彼らの寛大さは想像以上で、さらに私たちを本当に心配してくれたのでした。何より体調管理ができなかった私が情けないのですが、今回の経験で、ご近所さまへの感謝と尊敬の念を深めたのでした。
