2010,04,27, Tuesday Fish in the sky We found some 9 meterlong fish flying in the air this day. Koinobori, meaning "carp streamer" in Japanese, are carp-shaped wind socks traditionally flown in Japan to celebrate Children's Day. These Koinobori were brought from city hall's secretary's own garage after 30 years! His parents actually bought these Koinobori when he was born. Mr. Umeo Okimura, from whom we took the name for our daughter, set up them using long bamboo sticks, and now they look like enjoying the spring wind.
