3/3からの東京出張では、僕は世田谷区のある中学校の食育授業に、特別講師として招かれました。その生徒の皆さんが書いた感想文が届きました！
  音楽室に2年生全員と各クラスの担任が集まり、総勢100名くらいだったでしょうか。 明浜の地形の特徴や、条件としては決して有利な場所ではない土地で農業をする意味、価値、無茶々園の商品紹介、僕自身のキャリアや町作りのことなど、いくらでもあるしゃべりたいことから一続きの物語を作り出します。斜めに倒した学習机の上に男子生徒を乗せて、斜面地体験なんかもさせてみました。質疑応答も盛んで、楽しい体験でした。 後で知ったことですが、この中学校では食育が盛んなのだそうです。届いた感想文を読むと、本当、みんなよく聞いてくれていたのだと感心します。こんな印象の残し方をしてくれたのかと、少し驚いたり、嬉しかったり。「明浜に行ってみたい」なんて書いてくれたのも何人もいました。おお、来いヤ！ 人前でプレゼンをしたり、話したりするのに苦手意識はありません。これまでかなり経験してきていますし、無茶々園の事務局職員のときも同じような説明をしたことが何度もあります。ですが、農家として話すことで、相手の受け取り方が自動的に変わるようなところがあるようです。感想文を読みながら、そう思えてきました。また、感想文を寄せてもらう喜びや自分自身の反省がまるで違うことにも、すぐ気づきました。 生徒の皆さん、そしてこれらすべてをアレンジしてくれたIさん、ありがとうございました。おかげでもっとよい体験になりました。また機会があれば、このような経験を重ねていきたいものですね。 （ゆ） This way, that way During my trip to Tokyo, started from March 3, I was invited to a dietary education workshop, as a special guest, that a junior high school in Setagaya ward, Tokyo, had. Recently, I received written descriptions of their impressions! It was hold in a music room, and all of the 2nd-grade-students and their teachers attended the workshop. The total number of audience was about 100. I talked about the geographical characteristic of Akehama, the meanings and values of keeping agriculture though the area is not the best for it, the Muchachaen's products etc...There were so many things that I wanted to talk about, but I selected some topics and connected them to help the audience to have better image. I used a desk to visualize mountain slope and let a student stand on it so that he could feel how difficult to work on it. It had an interesting time with many questions from the students. I was informed later, but the school is quite active in dietary education. Yes, reading their comments, I understand how seriously they were listening to my presentation. I was surprised but happy to know what they thought. Many of them mentioned that they wish to come to Akehama. Wow, you are most welcome! I'm quite comfortable at giving presentations in front of many people. I've had many similar experience when I was a student and even a Muchachaen's staff. Still, when I talked as a farmer, audience seemed like having impressions in different ways. This is what I felt reading the students' comments. I also came to realize those feelings were different from what I had when I was an office staff. All the students and Ms. I who coordinated everything, thank you very much for giving me such a precious opportunity. If possible, I'd love to gain such experience in future as well. Yuki |
