It was a cold, but fine day. We had a local cultural festival here organized by the community hall.
 In the morning, there were many booths selling various foods and goods that were all made by local groups. Kids were all excited to eat sweets and snacks; so was I! We bought some foods for lunch (in this way, many mothers could skip cooking!) and looked around exhibitions inside. One of the interesting exhibitions was a gallery of old wedding photos. The community hall gathered many wedding photos and put them on wall. The photos were not named on purpose so that we had to guess who are who, which is indeed difficult to say because most of photos were as old as nearly 50 years....! After sometime, we went back to Okimura's house to have lunch together. It was actually a good decision to go there because we could enjoy the final of mogul match, the Vancouver Olympic, with the huge TV screen! In the afternoon, after Umeo took enough nap, we went back to the festival. Actually, we both were award winning in the local-towel-design-contest, so had been told to be present at ward ceremony. (Surprisingly, grand prix went to Wakana's and the special prize for Yuki's!.) I won a bicycle (yeah!) and the design will be printed on towels for local distribution. While, Yuki won gift vouch and two bottles of Sake! Well, Yuki's design was obviously outstanding among all, but it was too detail to print on towel fabric... Anyway, we ate a lot and earned a lot this day. As for the bicycle, they said we can choose our favorite one within the budget or go for more expensive one by adding our own cost (what a flexible system, hahaha!). Now we are quite excited to choose our bicycle. ;) Wakana    狩江産業文化祭 この日は狩江公民館主催の産業文化祭でした。 空気は冷たかったけど、よく晴れた日です。午前中は公民館前に出店がいくつもあって、地域の人がグループで、手作りの品を並べています。子どもたちは食べ歩きにおおはしゃぎ。もちろん、私も。他のカアチャンらと同じように、お昼ごはん用にたくさん惣菜を買い込みました。そして屋内展示へ。 一番面白かったのは、古い結婚写真のギャラリーです。50年物の写真もあるというのに、名札がないから、誰かな？ あの人かな？ なんて考え込んでしまいました。 その後、しばらく他の展示を見てから、沖村家で一緒に昼ごはんを食べました。沖村家へ行く、というのは、これはいいアイデアだったようです。ちょうどバンクーバー・オリンピックの女子モーグル決勝がおこなわれているところで、これを大画面テレビで、こたつでぬくもりながら、ゆっくり見ることができたのですもの。 お昼を済ませた後は、（う）がお昼寝から覚めたばかりですが、午後の演芸大会を観に再度公民館へ向かいます。なんと、狩江タオルデザインの表彰があるので、会場にいるように言われていたのです。さらになんと、最優秀賞を獲得したのは私！ （ゆ）は特別賞でした。 一等賞品は自転車！ そしてタオルに実際にプリントされます。本当は（ゆ）の絵が群を抜いていたのですが、線が細かすぎてタオル化はどうも無理だったようです。ちなみに特別賞は商品券と、秋祭りに神社へ奉納された御酒2本が届けられました（ご利益あるかもしれません？）。 自転車は目録が渡されただけで、まだ購入されていません。自分でお店で選んでいいそうです。と言っても予算を考慮してとのことですが、それにしても、フレキシブルですねぇ。（笑） たくさん稼いで、たくさん食べた一日でした。 |

二日遅れちゃったけど、はっぴばーすでー２７★ タオルすごいね～できたら見せてみせて！ うめ、また大きくなって！髪も伸びたなぁ～相変わらず かわゆい♪ 狩江には家族がたくさんいていいねぇ！ こたつのぬくぬく、あったかい狩江の空気が福島まで 届いたよー。 またお邪魔するね！

本当、（ゆ）のやつが選ばれて、生地も手ぬぐいに変更されるのでは、と期待していたのですが。ははは タオルは印刷が文化祭に間に合わず、まだ出来てないそうですなのですよー。

（ゆ）さんの絵、手ぬぐいならイケるんじゃ。 その場合、えんじの地色に白で線を抜いて・・・。
